SESSION 3 - WHY DO I HURT?
  • New Spirituality tells us that the pain we feel is either a consequence of our bad deeds or a manipulation of our consciousness. 
  • This fatal answer to one of life's biggest challenges only gives us more questions, such as "Why does pain hurt so much if it isn't real?".
  • The Christian worldview says that our pain has already fully been overcome through Jesus' ultimate suffering.
  • No one has suffered more than God and no one has loved greater than God.
SESSION 4 - doES MY LIFE HAVE MEANING?
  • Postmodernism say there is no truth and without truth, meaning cannot come from any one thing.
  • Meaning can never be achieved if it is a moving, relative target.
  • The Christian worldview says we are made for meaning.
  • Our entire existence gives us inherent value from the creator of the universe.
SESSION 5 - WHY CAN'T WE ALL GET ALONG?
  • The Marxist worldview says peace is achieved by eliminating the oppressor: the rich. 
  • History has proven time and time again this ends in more devastation and destruction. 
  • Shalom is the Christian worldview's response to conflict.
  • We were made for freedom, the freedom to give to all and not to take, to love and not to harm.
SESSION 6 - is there any hope for the world?
  • Islam says that our hope can only come from working hard to achieve Allah's approval.
  • We can never be certain of the hope that we have; it is always a risk. 
  • The Christian worldview says that our hope comes from the relief that God has guaranteed our salvation.
  • Because of Jesus' sacrifice, we can be certain of our eternity. 
SESSION 7 - is god even relevant?
  • Many fatal worldviews lead us to believe God should not even apply to answering life's biggest questions. 
  • The very fact that this must be discussed assures God's relevance. 
  • We cannot live a life full of love, joy, meaning, peace, or hope without God being the answer to our heart's desires.
